Michelle Kapler

Michelle Kapler R.Ac is a Registered Acupuncturist and Herbalist. Since graduating in 2010, from the Institute of Traditional Medicine in Toronto, she has focused her practice exclusively in fertility, pregnancy and maternal health. She is passionate about helping women to achieve hormonal balance, pleasant periods, successful conception and healthy pregnancies, with acupuncture, herbal medicine and food.

When she is not at work, you can find Michelle hanging out with her huband Peter and daughter Leah – making delicious meals from their backyard veggie garden – shucking and eating oysters – watching baseball – and attending epic family snuggle parties.

Your Treatments with Michelle

Her passion is not only to help women and their partners conceive, but to help them fall in love with their unique feminine physiology. She says “Every day, I am blown away by what women’s bodies are capable of, when given the right environment”.

Her approach to fertility medicine utilizes the wisdom of ancient healing arts, such as acupuncture and traditional herbal medicine, combined with a modern understanding of science and physiology. Together, you will work to create space for the body to heal itself, thrive and be fertile…and maybe have a little fun along the way!

Already Pregnant and Looking for Support?

Michelle’s light hearted, gentle and optimistic approach to the treatment of the not-so-magical moments in pregnancy is appreciated by her patients. Bring her your heartburn, backache, nausea, insomnia, constipation and other pregnancy woes. She will help you safely and naturally feel better with acupuncture and herbs.

Recurrent miscarriage? Studies have shown that weekly support, including acupuncture, can significantly decrease the chances of miscarriage.

Labour Preparation and Induction with Acupuncture

Studies have shown that the labour prep acupuncture protocol supports cervical ripening and may decrease the length of labour, particularly in the first stage. It has also been shown to reduce the need for med
ical interventions such as epidural. Beginning at week 36, weekly treatments gently ease your body into labour by ripening the cervix, encouraging effacement, relaxing the muscles and encouraging emotional well being.
