Reflexology

reflexology

Reflexology is a non-invasive therapeutic treatment focused on your feet. Specific pressure is applied to various reflex points that correspond with areas in the body, including glands, and organs. This therapeutic method has been in practice for thousands of years. A persons feet contain a rich supply of nerves and applying specific pressure to reflex areas stimulates the Nervous System while promoting balance and relaxation. Resulting in a Parasympathetic or “rest and restore” phase. During this phase it is when a state of balance occurs, and healing can take place.

Benefits of Reflexology

  • Reduce stress and anxiety
  • Relieve pain
  • Improve circulation
  • Enhance sleep
  • Promote digestion
  • Stimulate the Nervous System
  • Enhance relaxation
  • Increase energy

And much more.

What Happens in a Reflexology Session?

During an initial visit, your practitioner will conduct a brief health history and discuss any goals you have for treatment. You will then be asked to remove your shoes and socks and lie down fully clothed on a massage table. Treatments are done entirely on your feet.
